A production background cel overlay from the Hanna Barbera animated series "Astro and the Space Mutts" (1981-1982). Featuring a piece of high tech, jewel-powered machinery, the hand-painted overlay was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel overlay is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the series as a foreground element. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, the overlay is in very good condition with minor paint residue, surface wear, and a small tear on the top left corner.
